A Fall Vacation!

This past weekend Justin and I took a nice weekend getaway to Lanesboro, MN. Our first evening there we stayed in a Bed & Breakfast. Hillcrest Hide-Away was a wonderful experience for a "first-time-B&B-Couple" like us! In the morning we had a fresh loaf of homemade bread delivered to our room with fresh flowers! We had a great time.

One of the great things about this area, is the bike trail. They have over 47 miles of trail to ride on. Our first day we biked over 25 miles!....that evening we were going to head on another short 10-miler ride to Whalen. We got about 3 miles and had to turn around because our legs were so tired! This morning when we woke up, we could definitely feel the side-affects of biking over 30 miles in one day! The paths were gorgeous as fall colors are settling in, and we couldn't have asked for better weather on Saturday.

The moment after Justin snapped this photo of me while we were biking he rode right off the path into a ditch! Those men can't do two things at once!....I've never laughed so hard in my life. I actually had to pull my bike over and wipe my eyes from laughing so darn hard as he was stuck in a ditch!

Since I got my way the first evening and we stayed in a B&B, Justin got his way the second night. We camped in 35 degree weather (And rain!)......It was quite interesting....we snuggled by the fire and kept ourselves warm with s'mores and beer! :)

Max & Riley were spoiled with gourmet treats straight from Lanesboro's "Spoiled Pets"
dog store. Max got a huge bone shaped cookie with lovely colored frosting. It didn't take him long to scarf it right down! Riley got a little blue "Prince" crown cookie!

Well folks, that was our weekend...We hope you were able to enjoy the nice fall weather too! Don't forget to take time alone with the ones you love most! Have a great week!
