Congratulations to Barack Obama!
He is officially our 44th President of the United States of America!
I was almost in tears because history
has absolutely been made.
Forty years after Martin Luther King Jr's death,
his dream has become a reality.
The color of Obama's skin is what makes history,
but it is not the color of his skin that got him the job.
Martin Luther King Jr once said,
"I have a dream that my four little children
will one day live in a nation
where they will not be judged by the color of their skin
but by the content of their character."
It is Barack Obama's strong and courageous character
that won over the American People.
To all of those who have been waiting so long for change,
I believe it is finally here!
Barack Obama undoubtedly will have a long hard road ahead of him
but we are proud to support him in bringing peace and hope
to the United States and the rest of our World.
Go Obama!

very well said and I'm so glad I lived long enough to see it happen since I also lived through all the civil rights issues back in the '60s. Hubert Humphrey also had a lot to due with the progress that has finally been made. Now let's all work together for what's right and have peace and hope for the future. love mom
