Thursday's Thoughts

Besides LOVING Christmas music, another reason for loving this time of the year is because of the cute things that kids give you around the holidays. I am the luckiest social worker in the entire world! It's not what they give...but the excitement they have when giving to you. Amongst the Caribou cards, homemade treats, chocolates, and candles, I was given a half eaten sugar cookie, a bitten up pencil and my all time favorite....homemade cards! Below are just two of the many cards I receive each holiday! I love working in elementary!

Part of me is sad that I won't be at school tomorrow (Personal Day) Because it's Pinewood tradition for all the teachers to greet the students in the morning caroling in the hallway. The students come absolutely wired for the break and I love all the energy that exists under one roof.
In other news, we had our monthly "Johnston-Cousin" dinner last night. We were able to celebrate Ryan's 21st birthday!
Happy Birthday "Baby-Ry!"

Lastly, I'd like to close with proof that Max has a hard time leaving his brother alone. He is always showing his love by "pawing" Riley. Below shows photos of Riley content and chewing on a bone...Max just can't let Riles relax- so he's just patting him on the back and letting him know that he's right there.....haha. (Notice the second photo how my winter boot seems to appear....where did that come from?!...I sure know that I don't keep them on our living room rug!)

Well, that is all I have for you tonight. I've been cleaning the house (Since chances of it getting cleaned when I'm on crutches is pretty slim.) And playing "Elf" as I wrap and wrap and wrap endless amounts of presents! Tomorrow the events begin for the soon-to-be Mrs. Brittney Rogowski...I cannot wait to celebrate her and Jason's wedding! It will definitely be a wonderful wedding and a great last chance for me to boogie down before surgery! Have a wonderful Friday everyone!
