Well Folks, I'm alive...slow, in pain, but alive...I made it through surgery quite well- coming out of sedation was another story....Apparently I had a panic attack as soon as I woke up from sedation- which resulted in me being sedated, again....by the time I finally came through I was completely gone and to say the least, I don't remember too much about coming home from the hospital....Since the surgery, I've been transitioning between bed and couch. I stopped taking my wonderful pain meds 24 hours ago as they made me quite sick and it finally came to the point that I'd just rather be in pain...I've had only family members over since I'm quite the mess....however they have blessed with with food and entertainment- so thank you to everyone who came to visit! And a big thank you to those I turned down- but your offers kept my thoughts warm! My mother delivered this for my door when she came, I thought it to be pretty appropriate!
I had an IV connected directly into my knee dispensing pain medication...other than that, it's some pretty minimal bandaging....

My Friends...

My Dent....

Showering while keeping saran wrap in business!

Me and my pups...

Max is my guard dog!

So now, it's just a slow road to recovery....crutches suck, I can't put much weight on the knee, I get tired pretty easily, my toes look like cocktail sausages, my ankle like a summer sausage and I'm incredibly weak.....yay! At this point, I can only go up from here!
A huge lovey dovey THANK YOU goes out to my wonderful husband who has been more than terrific at responding to my needs! He dedicated his entire holiday break to caring for his wife! Sheesh, I'm on lucky lady!

Stay tuned!

I'm so glad to hear that the surgery went well and that it is behind you now. Like you said - It can only get better from here. I've been thinking about you and pray that you have a very very quick recovery!
