Obviously, I have not posted in a while. My absence has been due to various reasons, mostly because work has been crazy. This past week all I wanted to do once I got home was crash on the couch and let my thoughts become lost in the television! However, Justin forced me to get out this weekend and shake off the stress of work and have a little fun. Last night we went out to ACME with some "Roseville couples" + Jeff and Jarod. We had dinner and laughed like crazy. It was a great time!
(A personal shout-out to Mrs. Amy! Woot, woot!)
Thursday evening Justin and I booked down to the cities directly after work to cheer the Gophers on to a victory, but we came up a little short handed.
Although it was a completely awful game, I truly enjoyed my evening.
Gopher games have always been a family tradition with my father. My parents have owned season tickets since the 70's. I can honestly say that game nights with Dad is one of my favorite childhood memories. Of course to make it fair, we had to rotate game night with dad evenly as all of us kids got a turn. But when it was my turn, it meant dinner at Perry's pizza with a slice of pepperoni larger than myself. Followed by a stop to the corner store to pick out my favorite candy (I usually grabbed starburst, and dad would get hot tomales!) and than off to the "barn" for the big game. It was my night with dad, to pig out on treats and enjoy a good game of basketball.
So even though we had to endure a horrible loss on Thursday, it was extra special because I was able to enjoy the game sitting in between my husband and father. Justin and I snagged student tickets but snuck down to two empty seats by my parents!

Okay, this is going to make me sound super pathetic...but nonetheless, I'm really excited! As you probably know, I suffer from awful allergy problems and the vacuum we currently own is just not cutting it anymore. We finally figured out that it actually spits out what little it sucks in. So we decided to invest in a nice, durable, long lasting vacuum that will not need replacement in the next 2-3 years. I've always been fond of Oreck vacuums and so Justin and I went to check them out today. I fell in love (yes, fell in love!) with their brand new
Oreck XL21 Hepa Filtrate Vacuum.
Meet my new best friend:
I'm having a vacuuming party tomorrow night!

Last and not least, meet Tom and Joyce's new addition to their family:
Harley
It's funny to see them together!
We will now officially have 11 dogs up at the cabin this coming summer!
...that is just dog-gone crazy!
