At 12:45pm, the 5th graders filed out of their
elementary school one last time & took place in line to ring
the huge bell as a Pinewood rite of passage.
The loud "dings" signified that they are officially
middle schoolers!

They waved good bye to their teachers...

The teachers attempted to clean their rooms...
Hallways filled with desks and chairs ...
And there is no better feeling.

Tomorrow on the agenda is the district awards ceremony
and completing last minute check-out items before
handing in our keys for the summer.
I really only have one last hurdle to jump before the end to another successful year....
It is a public speaking opportunity
done so in front of my entire district. Hmmm, public speaking...
I actually get to present one of the prestigious Leadership awards
to someone from Pinewood.
(It's really only a 4 minute presentation....so get over it, right!!??)
To be honest, I am pretty excited about it.
Than it's a quick clean up and off to the end-of-the-year staff party!

The only way to make this ending a little more
sweet was if I didn't have class bright and early Saturday
morning. :(

and I sang "it's the most wonderful time of the year" as in the Christmas song, because nothing beats summer vacation!! Man, I LOVE being a teacher!
