Good evening Sunday!
Thank you for an awesome weekend...
Justin and I were quite busy with some really
fun things this weekend...
-
Today, I attended Minneapolis/St. Paul's HUGE
Pride Festival down in and around Loring Park.
This past week was dedicated to celebrating the
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transvestite (GLBT) population.
Today was the last day of the week long festivities. I attended
the Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Parade and helped celebrate
people from all walks of life.

I am positive that it was the BIGGEST parade that I've
ever been to! It was incredibly awesome to see how many
large companies, radio stations, restaurants, organizations,
and much more came to help celebrate.
In addition, I was pleasantly surprised by the large amounts
of families, children and individuals who showed their support!
Some of my favorites
were 3M's car which was covered completely in post-it's.
I also enjoyed Ikea, because they did a
funny little Scandinavian jig.

I'm a supporter of gay rights.
And not a closet supporter either.
I have never been able to understand attacks
upon the gay community. Who am I to tell another
human being whom they can or cannot love?

seeing two men holding guns than holding hands? "

On Saturday Justin and I joined a few other couples
for a wine tasting tour in Minnesota. We've never
been on one before and we sure had a great time.
I must say that I learned a lot about wines in one afternoon.
You could probably refer to me as a "wine connoisseur."

One eventful weekend...
This week is looking even better!
Class and headed up to the cabin!!
Hope you all have a great short week!

Hey Nicole! Cool to check out your blog. That guy driving the 3M Post-It Pride car is my friend Alan from high school. He works at 3M and is also gay. How flippin cool was that car?! He posted pics on fb of them decorating it... they had boxes and boxes of post-its! Take care!
