For the past 4 days Justin and I have been traveling with our very good friends, Angela and Jeremy. Our final destination was Kansas City for the MN Twins games. To begin this photo album, I would like to share with you the view that Ang and I were able to take in for the 7 hour drive down and the 7 hour drive back...

We had to get a car topper for the tents and we were still crammed in the Explorer.

Yes folks, we camped for 4 nights! (I even survived!) This whole trip revolved around camping and baseball. Two activities I am still trying to like....and learn about!

Justin's only requirement for the trip was that we visit this little place called
Oklahoma Joe's BBQ this "restaurant" is run out of a gas station. It was written up in a few of our magazines and featured on the Food Network. Oklahoma Joe's started in the back of this gas station as a small little BBQ fast food stand and blew HUGE. The line was out the door!

Each couple shared a full rack of ribs...

Justin and I came up short in the end...

Ang and Jeremy kicked our butt...

Our first night at Kauffman Stadium, the Twins played a very exciting game against the Royals! We pulled off a win in overtime!

Tailgating was awesome- there were seriously more Twins' fans than Royals!
So there it is folks- camping and baseball. I learned so much about baseball on this trip! I now know what all the little initials on the scoreboard mean! Like RBI's, SLG's, OPS's, AVG's, HR's....I got em' all! So to end this post I'm going to list the top 5 things I learned about baseball on this trip:
#5: A .300 and above batting average is very good- which means that I learned that Joe Mauer is an AWESOME hitter.
#4: The phrase often yelled to batters, "You got some ducks in the pond!" Refers to there being some teammates on base.
#3: Brad Radke DOES NOT play for the Twins anymore.
#2: There is no halftime or intermission....which seems obvious, but I thought the 7th inning stretch was a lot longer than just 2 minutes.
#1: The numbers on a scoreboard are referred to as "Runs" not "Points."
