A Lot of "Firsts"

Hannah had quite an adventurous weekend! Early Friday morning we headed to Canal Park in Duluth to spend a few hours roaming the area.

Justin kept his eye out for ships...

We rented a six person pedal bike...

(This was quite the adventure, amazingly we did not run over any civilians.)

It was fun to cruise the boardwalk, but do not be fooled- it was actually pretty hard work...even with four people doing the pedaling!

Hannah saw the bridge go up...

She saw her first lighthouse...

And she witnessed Grandpa getting pooped on by a seagull!....

After a few fun hours in Canal Park, we headed up to Tofte, Minnesota. Tofte is WAY up north...to a destination where my cell phone did not work and that was totally okay with me. Amongst dining on really good food (and a whole lot of junk food) we had a very active time!

Hannah went swimming for the first time and LOVED it. The water was even a bit on the cold side- but she did not care! It was so much fun to see her enjoying the water, smiling and talking...(Thank God she didn't poop!)

We all spent time climbing rocks in Lake Superior...

...skipping rocks too...

Hannah also went on her first hike through the northern woods! (Apparently, we're not shy about introducing her to things....) The entire family went on the hike to enjoy the sun...

Justin did a very good job of maneuvering through the uneven terrain with Hannah safely in the baby bjorn! (Notice in the photo below...)

The group below took on an additional hike to what is considered the second highest point in Minnesota. They made it safely and enjoyed some awesome views!

It was such a fun weekend, that we have completely tuckered out our poor daughter. She had so much fun on her first (of many) trips up north!

So Hannah hiked, biked, swam and saw northern Minnesota- all in one weekend! Justin and I had a really nice time with the whole family, it was nice that everyone could be there.
