And the Cow Says, "Moooo."

Ahhh....Glorious Sunday Night.
I always seem to post something on the blog every Sunday night, which is a good thing, it must be due to very exciting weekends. It helps me to reflect back on all the fun we had over the past two days. This weekend is no exception. Every August we head to Lodi, Wisconsin to see the Quam family and celebrate Grandma's birthday. We stayed at my Aunt and Uncle's farm, although Hannah may have been too young for "farm-fun," her father is never (and will never) be too young. Enjoy some photos of us "city-folk" on the farm.

He fed the cows...

...waved his arms like a crazy man at the cows, trying to get them to "moooo".....
....and became friends with some of the local farm cats... We always enjoy staying on the farm, a lot of memories have been had on that land. More importantly, Hannah was able to finally meet her Great Grandma Quam...

Four Generations...(Hannah was not happy.)

In addition to Grandma's birthday there is a very serious fantasy football league that runs in this family every year. So each August we piggy-back onto the family reunion and gather for a "live draft." I do not know if this event shows dedication or patheticness (if that were a word)...Justin spends hours researching prior to the draft. This event is very serious- it is filled with laptops, highlighters, a color-coded system and lots of beer. (it takes at least three hours...)

...and to think....Justin makes fun of me for my television shows....
at least I do not huddle around with friends and pick Meredith Grey or Gabrielle Solis to be on my pretend team.
Moving on to "Hannah News." She did a wonderful job on yet another road trip. She was so tuckered out on this afternoon's ride back home that she slept for the entire 5 hour trip back. This morning Justin got up with Hannah, and my father must have joined them. When I came down stairs she had both her Daddy and Grandpa's undivided attention. They huddled over her as she just babbled away at them. She definitely found her voice this morning and talked for a straight two hours! It was so funny...just non-stop babbling! She had every one's attention. I wish I could have caught it on video camera.
She also decided to start holding her own bottle:
(Not really, Justin put her into this position - she held it long enough for me to snap a photo!)
...and it is official: we have a thumb-sucker! She has always self-soothed or told us she was hungry by sucking on her fist, but never with her thumb completely in her mouth. She sucked her thumb all today. How do we break her from this?!?!....or don't we, because it is awfully cute.
So that is that. A jam packed weekend filled with a ton of fun. We hope you "sit back" and enjoy the week!

Don't do anything about the thumb sucking (even though you really can't even if you wanted to). You never have to worry about where her passie is if she sucks her thumb.
