This is our blank (very blank) bedroom wall.
One single wedding photo, mounted on a failed impulse-to-be-creative-mission.
I purchased some fabric paper at a craft store to line the obnoxiously white matte board that came with the picture frame. Justin said my attempt to be creative made it way too "girly."
...I couldn't agree more.
So, I went on another "creative-mission" today to fancy up this boring wall- but this time I think it was a success.
...all you need is a husband who can do math...
...a sidekick ready to help...
...and some creative ideas...
Above I stripped away the "girly-purple" and replaced it with old "love letters." I have kept every single (and I mean....every.) note, letter, card, doodle and post-it that Justin and I have ever exchanged.
I have entire box filled with them.
I came upon them the other day and wondered what in the heck I was going to do with all of them, but I just could not bring myself to throw them. It was really neat to look back at notes we exchanged in high school, little cheesy and pathetic heart drawings that I did for him when we were in the 10th grade, cards we wrote to one another before Prom and letters to one another from our wedding day. So I decided to cut them apart and piece them together like a puzzle that frames our wedding picture.
I will patiently wait for Justin's approval. He'll probably roll his eyes and deny ever writing the romantic, adorable and loving words that are now on display for anyone to read. :)
(This photo of Hannah has nothing to do with this blog entry- but I had to sneak in one picture of her!)

So there you have it....a bedroom wall, much more pleasing to the eye.
*For those of you paying attention, I am totally aware that the photo of Justin and I is going the wrong way- but I do not have a horizontal photo that I like. So it will stay like that until I find one. :) And you get a gold star for noticing!
