Catch-Up

Argh. It's summer and all I feel like I am doing these days is playing catch-up. My Friends Photography is keeping me busy, and you can blame the businesses success for my lack of "Hannah-photos." The last thing that I want to be doing these days is editing more photos. However, I did pull out my camera today to capture Hannah's first encounter with an Oreo cookie. I also had it out this past weekend so I could get a quick shot of Grandma Quam with all of her great grandchildren. But above and beyond that I had to go back into my photo archives to post more photos of Hannah! Sheesh! So the following photos are from last week's nature walk. There is a park near our house that we often bike to because there is so much for Hannah to explore- including these huge rocks that she loves climbing on...

We are still managing to have fun amongst the chaos of summer. As I was thinking about how busy I am, it dawned on me that I have not shared with the "blogging world" how I changed jobs! I used to work in Monticello at one of their elementary schools and I decided to make a jump over to Elk River schools where I will have the same job, just a whole new district. It was a HUGE decision for me, as I have worked in Monticello (including my student internship and subbing) for the past six years. I am taking a leap into a brand new school district where I know nobody and barely anything about the district. The fear of the unknown is overwhelming. I left a position that I loved, but I am putting my faith into this new opportunity. I am sure that once Hannah starts school in the Elk River school district, that it will affirm that this was the correct career move for my family. So add the stress of a new job and you know why I've been hitting the bottle a little extra hard lately. (just kidding, mom.)

Well I'm off to curl up in bed to some America's Got Talent a big ole bowl of popcorn.
