My Girl

My girl is a whopping 17 months old today. Because I am on fall break, I have been snuggling and kissing on her all day long. I asked her what she wanted to do on this monthly milestone...and she said "shahhp."....Yes folks, that is correct- my daughter says, "Shop.".....let the clouds part and the angels sing....my goodness, she is my child...and so we went shopping.

(There was no coaching involved....well, okay, maybe a little....Justin is going to die when he hears her say "Shahhp")

Speaking of talking, my litle lady has exactly 43 words to her vocabulary. Some days we get three new words in one day. She is brilliant. To throw a few quick stats out there before the photos: Sleeps 11-12 hours a night with a 2-3 hour nap one time a day. (I love being down to one nap a day.) Size 4 diapers, eats only fruit, peanut butter, bread and eggs. Loves the outdoors and is absolutely OBSESSED with her blankie which she has named, "dee-dee." She won't go anywhere without it and when we try to take it away, she screams and cries for "dee-dee" and it is so cute that I give in....I do give myself some credit...We have had to set some boundaries for her "blankie-time"....cannot go in the car, to daycare or outside....basically "dee-dee" is on house arrest. We have had some crying moments over this darn blankie, but she now willingly puts "dee-dee" to bed when we are leaving the house. argh. (I actually purchased a second "dee-dee" just in case something ever happens to one, we got a back up!) She is getting her 12 month molars, her cheeks are bright pink and she is sleeping an insane amount. (She couldn't have better timing with the teething-She must have known that her Mama wanted to sleep in on her day off of work because this morning she slept until 8:30, and now she's going on a 4 hour nap.)...my lady sleeps when she is teething and I will take full advantage of it. :) Besides "dee-dee" - Hannah is obsessed with Riley, whom she calls "Ree-ree."....(I swear not every one of her 43 words ends in -ee.) She has actually gone backwards in clothing size and fits into most all of her 18 month pants, but tops are 2T. Now on with the photos of my little lady.
