Cold, New Daycare, Terrible Twos or Allergies?

You tell us:

- Runny nose

- Terrible fits in the evening after daycare

- 100% Clingy to her mama

- Long wake periods in the middle of the night

- Doesn't want to leave the house in the mornings

- Coughing

- "NO!" feels like the only word we hear these days....oh, and "MAMA!!!"

Justin and I have been going nuts trying to figure out what is driving Hannah nuts. She has been waking up for hours in the middle of the night. It's as if we have a newborn. Two nights I caved and snuggled her into bed with Justin and I. She doesn't want to leave my side and comes running to me when I pick her up from Shelly's. Yesterday she literally grabbed her shoes and coat and tried putting them on. It's like she couldn't get out of the door fast enough. It broke my heart. But I know that she likes it at Shelly's...Shelly loves Hannah and there are kids and toys to play with. Shelly makes Hannah's favorite meals and gives her plenty of love. So what is going on? In the evenings, Hannah has been having such bad tantrums that Justin and I have had to formulate a plan:

1. Distract

2. Verbal warning

3. Place her in her crib with light on and door open

4. Immediately after she stops crying (and screaming) go in and give attention

5. Ask for apology

What happened to my baby who went with the flow?....We are actually having to discipline. yuck.

This Mama needs her sleep. I know all my friends are secretly laughing as they believe I have entered the world of "toddler." And yes, it's probably time for payback as Hannah was quite the golden-baby who gave us no trouble. So I guess Justin and I should buckle in because we are bound for a wild ride through toddlerhood!...and I just have a feeling that this might try every bit of patience in my body. Stay Tuned.
