With Puppies, it seems to always be two steps forward and than a simple accident on your carpet and you're set back one step. With Max it's been a little different. It's not wet carpet spots that are setting us back one step at a time...it's how he's treating his older brother! We had two solid weeks where Riley would hide under the bed at all times. He was barely eating and he started having accidents in the house. When we made Riley come out, he'd always be on either Justin or My lap and start shaking if Max came near. To put a long story short, it's definitely been a hard transition to blend the two dogs together. I think it will get a lot better once Max gets older and settles down. For now, they are buds when Riley feels like it and enemies when Riley needs a break! Max has been a happy face to come home to everyday. Justin enjoys having a "big-dog" around and I find it hilarious that Max thinks he's a lap-dog.
