Cabin Makeover!

Well the rain decided to stay away and do nothing but make for an extra muggy day. Some of the Kahlers decided to head up to my parent's cabin on Balsam Lake in Wisconsin and do a little bit of "touching-up." On the list included:

1) Taking down a chimney that has been there for a good 70,000 years and...
2) Allowing our cabin to have a "lake-view" (which every cabin should have!!)

Sounds easy....but it was 9 hours of crazy HOT work. But we were able to get a lot accomplished and it's looking pretty good! I was pretty proud of myself for climbing up and down, and up and down, and up and down that STEEP hill about a bazillion times amongst all of the HUGE Daddy Longlegs. For those of you who have never been up to the Kahler cabin- there are exactly 103 stairs that one must conquer just to get down to our dock. So that helps give a little perspective of this steep hill we were dealing with! It was all worth it though- the cabin is looking great and the hot day allowed us to sweat out about 10 extra pounds of water weight! :)

Hope that you all have a fantastic week!
