Round Two of Halloween Softball Fun

Happy Monday Everyone...

I sure hope that as the cold weather blows in and the wind chills us all every time we step outside, that you are finding yourself busy with fun things to keep you warm! This past weekend was sure eventful and kept us cozy. Saturday we had our second softball Halloween tournament in Champlin. I however, "rode the pine" the entire tournament as I cannot particiapte due to the knee injury. It was fun watching the team, but definitely frustrating because I wanted to be playing! The team did awesome and took first place in the tournament!....I'm starting to think that we are actually pretty darn good!
After a long day of softball, Justin and I headed to Benihana's with Paige and Nikki to celebrate Nikki's birthday.
We topped off the evening with a late night comedy show at Acme Comedy Club in Minneapolis. It was HILARIOUS! Seriously, funny stuff going on there. We saw two comedians, the headliner has hosted shows on MTV and VH1....maybe you've seen him before....Ryan Stout. Best known for hosting Tila-Tequila and the Spring Break shows....trashy, yes.

Sunday morning we were able to lay low a bit- I even baked! 3 Dozen Chocolate Chip Cookies, 3 Dozen Peanut Butter Cookies and 2 loafs of Banana Nut Chocolate Chip bread later, I felt a little too domesticated....I'm not a baker.

On another note, news on the knee....Surgery is a must. My Orthopedic Surgeon said I should expect to be out of work for atleast 2 weeks and on crutches for four. So I've decided to hold surgery off until Christmas Break. Our hopes are for me to have surgery 2 days before Christmas. My work schedule has us off for two weeks over our Winter break, so it's perfect and I should be able to miss minimal days at work. Christmas will sure suck - but oh-well! Of Course, this all depends on my Surgeon's availability! So for now, it's laying low and not doing a whole lot. I did go to the gym yesterday and do minimal cardio work. I'm just trying to keep the leg muscles strong, and I know that will speed up the recovery time! So the knee saga goes on hold for a while....fine with me!

Anywho, have a great week everyone- and more softball pictures to follow soon!
