This is a story that I could never make up....It is a true-tale straight from the crazy walls I work within....
My Principal approached me yesterday after school tightly clutching a plastic grocery bag. He appeared very distraught and requested that I follow him to his office so that he could ask me how he should handle a situation.
Not even a days worth of thinking could prepare me for what he was about to present me...
He looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Nicole, I am not sexually harassing you - but I need you to take a look in this bag." By this point, I was straight up laughing and wondering what in the heck my Principal was smoking!...
So I grabbed the bag from him and took a peak inside. I reached into the plastic shopping bag and pulled out a ziplock bag holding something that should never enter a work place.
Inside this little ziplock bag was an item shaped like a long bullet. It was approximately four inches long, smooth and was connected to a remote control by a long black cord. (If you don't know where I am going with this....let's just say that the remote controls how fast the silver part moves.) If you still don't get what I'm talking about, just give up and stop reading.
So I asked my Principal, Brad, if this was some kind of sick joke since the office staff is always pranking one another and he looked at me with the most serious face and said, "No. A third grade student brought it to school for show-and-tell and he referred to it as his Mom's massager."
It was a good end-of-the-day laugh. The best part is that I got to walk away from the situation, whereas Brad had one awkward phone call to make.
Just thought I'd share.
You wouldn't believe the things educators hear and see......
