Operation: Prepare Nursery Continues

Wednesday evening we camped out in the living room with the rest of our belongings. Not for fun, but because we had new carpet arriving to be installed the next morning...So Justin has been busy at work, taking things down, moving things out and tearing out old nasty carpet that has seen its way through three separate homeowners...
I think Riley is seriously convinced that he is "helping."

Pretty New Carpet:

So with the new carpet finally installed (this has been a 4+ week project). I FINALLY was able to have Justin set up the crib, which has got to be one of the most exciting steps of all! Again, Riley "helped."

So everything is coming along just dandy. I am excited to say that I have my first baby shower this weekend too! I cannot wait to keep filling up her room! In other, less exciting news- I had an unplanned doctor's appointment Thursday morning. I had not felt the little bugger move since Wednesday morning around 10:30ish and so I was getting quite concerned. At this point in my pregnancy, I'm supposed to start "kick counts" where I should feel her grooving at least 4 times every hour. So when I didn't feel her for over 24 hours, I decided to make an appointment. Everything is fine- in fact, she is measuring much further along than my current "26 weeks." My normal Doctor was not in, and so I met his partner, Dr. Olson, who is another fantastic guy that I feel very comfortable with. He monitored her and I for about 45 minutes and determined that her heart rate was a little slower than normal. Nothing to be concerned about, but said that I need to relax more, take it easy and not push myself. He decided to give me an ultrasound just to check in on her some more.... It was during the ultrasound that he measured her and said that I was looking like I was more at 29 weeks!! She is currently 2 and a half pounds!! (It does not move my due date up any- there has to be a four week difference in order to change a due date.) Looking back, this all makes sense... between helping Justin move furniture out of the rooms, and back in again, and helping to shovel snow, I guess maybe I was being a little ambitious...so I guess it's Doctor's orders to slooooooow down! :)

Anyway, for those out there who have a three-day weekend...Enjoy! The sun is shining!
