We had our 39 week appointment today! I do not know if I have mentioned how much we love our doctor and his nurse. After all, he is the only reason we are delivering in Monticello- and so I thought a gift of bribery would be perfect to get him there on delivery-day!....and also his nurse and him deserve a huge thank you because they have been nothing short of wonderful. So the "creative-elementary-school-worker" came out of me and I decided on bottles of wine with cute tags.
I excitedly shared my idea with Justin and he responded with,

Sheesh, those boring literal engineers.
I thought I was being funny. Now I am just paranoid that my doctor is not going to get the "joke" either and just think that I am a moron.

To update you on our appointment, progress is still being made!...I am now dilated 3cm, and yes, I understand that I could be sitting at 3cm for weeks to come- but at least I am making progress each week and not sitting at 1 or 2 centimeters- so I will take it!
Now we just sit back and continue with the waiting game!
I have two days left of work and six days left until my due date...we are in the single digits people!

3 cm! YAY. That is really quite an advancement, even though it may not seem like too big a deal.
