Big Girl Bed

About a week ago we upgraded Hannah to a big girl bed. I swore that I wouldn't do it anytime soon, especially with the baby coming. Why mess with a good thing?!......She slept perfectly in her crib- no fuss about it. But then we decided to reuse the crib for our little man and so big girl bed was the only choice. And this spoiled little girl got a BIG girl bed. She looks like the smallest little pea in her QUEEN sized bed!

The transition has been super easy. My rule-bound girl doesn't move from it. Even in the morning when she wakes, she lays there and yells for her Mama instead of getting out. I have been trying to teach her to come out when she wakes up....but I have failed thus far. I stand outside her door and talk her into getting out of bed...but the girl won't move! Sheesh. Below is a photo from tonight when her "Uncle Tommy" came up for a visit. Book in bed with Daddy and Tommy....told you she is spoiled!

"More, More...MORE!"

We got Hannah a sled. She likes her sled a little too much. Justin and I have run countless laps around our house. I am dizzy. Hannah is the best fitness coach ever...don't even think about stopping to take a break or she will yell. However, her little giggles when you are running are pretty good motivation to keep going. Here are some photos from this afternoon...

In other news, Hannah started saying her name. It's pretty funny because there are photos of her all over our house and now she walks around pointing to all of them saying, "Hannah." She is also getting her "fangs" (as Justin calls them). She has been doing alright so far, but we can tell that they are bothering her. She is going to have a full smile! I am also going to warn that I got a new phone, and with my new phone I have joined the young kids out there and got internet on it. So I will be able to upload random photos onto the blog when we are out-and-about. (a.k.a. I will be posting/updating this thing more often)....ahhh-hem...(thomas), not that I will mention names, but I have been getting yelled at about not posting often enough. :)

Hope you are all staying warm out there...I will leave you with one last photo of little miss H.

16 Months

(Didn't I just log her 15th month?!)

Favorite Food: Still fruit of any sorts...otherwise she is pretty bipolar when it comes to eating. One minute she'll like something and the next she'll throw it across the room.

Least Favorite Food: Still going with meat on this one...

Enjoys: Dancing...this girl loves to groove. She has also taken a liking to coloring...she prefers markers..... (Mom prefers crayons and Dad prefers not pushing the arts at all, but rather "puck handling or throwing skills.").

Hates: Besides certain foods, not sure on this one...she is still pretty laid back.

News & Notes: Hannah has been talking up a storm. It's so much fun because before we would hear a word and not hear it again for weeks. Now, they are all on the tip of her tongue. We have been keeping a list and she has (and uses!) 25+ words. It is so exciting...She recently learned, "Jesse." ...you know, her little crush at daycare?...yeah- that's pretty cute because it comes out more like, "Jesheee." She is in 2T clothing, went down a size in diapers and is currently at size 4. Still takes 2 naps a day. Goes to bed at 7:15ish now and gets up at 7am for daycare. She has also started running away from us which is pretty funny- but since her coordination is rather poor, (she might take after her Aunt Tiffany) it has caused a lot of "ouchies." Hannah started swimming lessons this month and will start "Tumbling Time Gymnastics" in November.

Official Stats: Weight= 28pounds 3oz. Height= 32.5in. Head=47cm

Justin has been gone since Sunday in Tennessee for work. And if you think we have been laying around sulking, you could not be more wrong...us ladies have been partying it up and having fun!...There is proof in the photos!....Look at all the smiles!

"Appo"

Hannah's language has really been developing lately. We feel like she is gaining a new word everyday- it is nuts. Last week it was "boat, rock, water and hi." This week it is, "ouch, baby, ball, dog, and apple." She keeps saying them over-and-over again. Here was her latest:

Oh- My!

Hannah has been a walking all-star! Yesterday she was at just a handful of steps- and now she is at 10+. Here is what we caught on camera this evening...If I wasn't up against a wall and I bet she would have kept going!!

The Proof is in the Pudding

Pudding (amongst other thicker foods like yogurt and oatmeal) are great "no-fail" foods when learning how to use a spoon. Enjoy some photos from tonight's dessert portion of the menu:

She was so upset when there was none left!

Oops, I Did It Again...

Photobucket

Party in her crib at all hours of the night....

She did this for Laura today too during one of her naps. She also intentionally rolled for the first time (that we saw her) tonight. Justin and I cheered like a bunch of crazies.

Progress!

It is no secret that Justin and I have been working with Hannah to get this little lady moving. We are basically "Crawling and Rolling" experts. We sought out professional help through Elk River's Early Childhood program, had Hannah assessed, and she now qualifies for weekly physical therapy sessions. Meanwhile Justin and I have been putting Hannah through "Rolling to Crawling Boot Camp." We religiously stick to a routine of exercises and Hannah has been a champ through it all. (Do not mistake "champ" for enjoying these exercises.) She has persevered through blood, sweat and tears. Okay.....not "blood".....but you get the point....
It is all about disguising the exercises....
We start out having a little fun and slowly move onto our belly...

I quickly learned that Hannah loves my camera strap and so I used it to my advantage as a crawling incentive. As she "inchwormed" her way to me, she was not pleased.

Hannah is working SO hard, she is making Justin and I very proud. Tonight after dinner she practically put me in tears when she did this for the first time on her very own...

She did it over-and-over again. Hopefully there will be some forward movement and coordination between those legs and arms. But for now- we're celebrating the small things!! Good Job Hannah!!

Seriously, This is Who I Married....help.

Check out how close Little H is getting to get that belly off of the ground! She has been working so hard, she even gets up on her knes but only for a second before belly-flopping back to the ground. She is however cruising backwards on the ground which is new and exciting! Getting closer, those exercises are finally paying off!

This morning Hannah had her official evaluation with an early childhood teacher and also an occupational therapist. Needless to say, they did not get much accomplished because Hannah was not very cooperative. :) Stinker. They walked away saying that she is, "very detail oriented, observant, patient and must always be stimulated." huh......they will interpret those words and their findings for us next week and from there a plan will be put in place for her to get her groove on.

In other news, I sent Justin to Target to grab a few things and this is what he came home with:

I wish it was a joke. But it's not....he is wearing it right now. I refuse to be seen in public with him if this is what he is wearing....

Little Black Dress

I know. It has been a while since I have posted any photos. To tell you the truth, life has been extremely busy and I think I was in bed by 8pm every night this past week. However, today before heading off to church I was able to snap a few pictures of my dear babe goofing around for the camera.

Hannah has a few new tricks that she has just started, so in this photo below I am begging her to show them off for the camera and she is just looking at me like,

"No Mommy, I don't want to do that..."

Photobucket

...but then she gives in!...

Hannah now does, "So Big!"

Photobucket

She also, waves hello and goodbye, claps her hands and does the "all done" baby sign.

Oh...and we just cannot get enough of those little piggies....

Photobucket

Hannah continues to be a chatter box. Like today in church when we had to take her out of the service two times before giving up and going home after communion. This kid just keeps talking. She was letting every single person know at this morning's 9:30 service that she has Da-Da, Da-Deee, Dad, Dah, and every other D-A formation down just pat. When we were walking to the car, we were letting her know that she needs to act like a big girl in church and that she needs to be a good listener....she looked at us and starting laughing. great.

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

L.O.V.E.

Hannah now puts out her arms and reaches for me.
When she is on the floor, she reaches up for me- and when she is in someone else's arms-
she reaches for her Mama.
I fall in love all over again.....Every. Single. Time.

Today was definitely one of those days where I wished I was still home with Little H. On a positive note, today was a great reminder to be thankful for a happy and healthy child. So Hannah received extra smooches and snuggles from me tonight!

I still cannot believe that she is getting teeth!!! Teeth are just a milestone in my mind that my baby is no longer a baby. There is a second one coming in now too...

For all my friends out there expecting little ones. People will tell you,

"It goes by quick."

But you never really get just how quickly, quick is.

Hold on tight!

All I Want For Christmas...

...are my bottom two teeth....
Hannah has officially cut her first tooth! One of her bottoms is coming in. She has been tough so far, we wouldn't have even known if Justin hadn't felt down there yesterday.
My little baby is getting too big, too quickly.

Hannah's First Crush

She's already into boys.
Hannah has had a crush on a boy named Jesse for a while. He goes to Laura's too and she has always taken a liking to him. She talks to him, smiles at him, laughs when he does silly things and never takes her eyes off him. Well today when I went to pick her up, Laura let me know that Hannah laid a big wet one on Jesse this afternoon!...already kissing boys. What have we gotten ourselves into?! I must say she does have good taste.....Jesse is a cutie! According to Justin, he's a little out of Hannah's age range at a whopping age of 4 years old.

In other Hannah news, she waved goodbye to Justin this morning when he was leaving daycare. He was so excited that he had to call me and tell me!! I love watching her grow and continue to do new things everyday!

She Is Not Making It Easy On Me...

Hannah decided to pull out all of her tricks today. These are the moments I am scared of missing when she is at daycare...so she let them all out today.

(Very thoughtful of my little babe.)

First, she waved back at me. Justin and I have been trying to teach her to wave and she actually did it this afternoon! I was so excited. It could have been an accident, but I don't care, I am counting it.

Then...tonight at dinner, she said "Da-da!" Once she realized how excited we were, she kept on going for about 45 more minutes. At one point she said "Da-da" and then made a farting noise. (She has got her Daddy pinned.) It was pretty hilarious. I caught a little bit on camrea below:

Oh, and for the record- Justin completely melted when she kept saying, "da-da!'
