Documentation

For documenting purposes and also for reasons of looking back at how perfect life was this summer...I am going to write down the typical schedule of a summer day with Hannah and I.
(Next summer I will look back at this and be absolutely jealous of "this-summer's-self).

8:45- I wake and get ready for the day
9:15ish- Hannah wakes and we read books in bed until she decides it is time to eat breakfast
10:00- Breakfast and get ready for the day
11:00- Errands, park, friends....whatever.
12:30- Lunch and Indoor playtime
1:30ish- Nap
4:30- Wake, snack and "Toonies." (Dinosaur Train, Little Bear, Mickey Mouse and Curious George are all our favorites right now.)
5:30- Playtime with Dad
6:30- Dinner, bike, walk, park...whatever.
8:00- Bath
9:00-9:30- Bed

This is also proof of why Hannah and I both have needed to readjust our schedules this past week in preparation for going back to school! No more sleeping in until 9. Boo.

Camera Phone Dumping Grounds

This past Friday night my sister was up and to show my 20-something-year-old-sister what "having a wild night" means for a family, we took her to Rockin Rogers Days.:) Hannah has a new love for carnival games, rides and sugar highs. And pretty sure that Tiff has a new love for her young care-free days.

What happens when you give a toddler cotton candy past their bedtime?....An all out screaming drag-out to the car. :)

But wait...she gets away from daddy...and apparently she can outrun her aunt too.

In other summer news- Hannah received a few pools for her birthday and so she thought she would try them out...so did her daddy. Hannah enjoyed dumping buckets of water on Justin.

This is our little neighbor boy. He turns two in a few weeks and I am sure this picture will find them someday when they are high schoolers. He really wanted to give Hannah a ride on his motorcycle and kept calling her over from across the yard. She held on tight and they were off! (For the record...the motor is broken and they had to be pushed...otherwise, yes- there would be helmets on the kids.)

Lastly, a few photos from today- Hannah is enjoying her second season at the Little Gym of Edina. Now that I am not working we attend morning classes during the week. (I like the weekend classes much better) During the week, Hannah is enrolled with a bunch of kids who have moms dressed up in their finest (and tightest) yoga spandex completely glued to their Blackberry phones and gossiping about the best fitness trainers and latest diet fads. (I guess that is what we get for where we are choosing to take Hannah for gymnastics) I however tend to hang with the low-class-other-half of the crowd who clearly act as nanny's to the kids they tote with them to the Little Gym. Or Hannah and I keep to ourselves in our Target brand clothing as we act like crazy girls, jumping and climbing all over the equipment....you know, interacting. (Like you are supposed to do.)
[end judgement]

After gymnastics, we headed to uptown to do what Hannah and I do best. Shop. Lately, it's for little brother- but Hannah got a treat of her own.

I am loving spending my days with Hannah. She is SO MUCH fun right now. She is this little human that soaks everything in. Loves to shop, hang out, eat, be with her friends and read books. My oh my, is she a mini-me?!?!? She tells me every hour of the day (if not more...and it will NEVER get old.) "I love you Mama." (It sounds more like: "I wuv ooo Mama.") but it is the dang best little words that ever come out of this girls mouth. I am going to try to get it on video tape so when she is 15 I can play it back for her as a reminder that once upon a time, she really did love me.

That's it for today folks- better go feed little brother while Hannah is napping!

Summer Review

Three whole days I have been on summer vacation. One would do the math at three whole mornings that I was able to sleep in. But no. And it's not Hannah's fault- little girl has been a trooper, sleeping well past 8am (which makes this whole thing even that more frustrating!!). My very first day of summer sleep in is the exact same day that they decide to start the new construction on the house directly next door to ours. You would think that they have laws about how early you can start drilling, hammering and swearing at your coworkers...but apparently 6:30am is the start time for these guys. And if new construction is not bad enough, two houses down they have been drilling huge stakes into the ground to hold up two gigantic tents for our new neighbor's wedding this weekend. They also have an early start time. Don't they know some people are trying to sleep in around here?!?! (Don't worry, Justin does not feel bad for me either.) I am however am thankful that Hannah can sleep through it in the mornings. Gets her ready for a crying baby at all hours of the day! :)

Now onto the rest of our three-day summer updates. This is my little phone dump as I have been too lazy to grab my nice camera and haul it around.
We got grass!

Little H running errands with her Mama.

More things to do!...Lots of time in the car!

Looking too big to be my girl.

Thanking Pinterest for fun little activities that entertain Hannah for endless time. (And helping her fine motor skills!)

Preschool time- ipad style! :)

But wait, Daddy comes home and after a day with Mama of having to abide by rules and follow directions- all bets are off and it's time to wrestle.

This looks like a great idea- human trampoline...until she tries it on her Mama.
In other news, I have made it my personal mission to have Hannah potty-trained by the end of the summer. (I really don't want two babes in diapers!!) So, this week has been a whole lot of talking about it and not so much training, but more introduction. But come Tuesday afternoon we are going full-force. Taking away her diapers except at nap and night...we should see how it goes!

And lastly, you all know that I had an ultrasound today and we did indeed find out the sex. However, we won't be sharing until Sunday. Baby is very healthy with a (finally) established due date of November 11th. Growing strong and bigger. (So is its Mommy) Heart rate comes in at 144 and it's an active little one. So throw your bets out there now because you only have to wait a few more days. here is a belly-shot for you:

Splish-Splash...Not in the Bath

Wowza was it a hot one today! Today was a bad day to take up running again. Oof-ta.

Anywho, on with some fun photos of Hannah sporting an adorable swimming suit that she was gifted for her birthday. Justin and I also got her a farm animal "splash-table" for her birthday and with today's nasty hot weather, it was a perfect afternoon to pull it out. We figured she loves her baths so much, that we might as well take the splashing fun outside- and she loved it....

It has been a fun three-day weekend that I do not want to come to an end. However, this week is easy to tackle. It's the last week of the school year and that means paperwork, good byes and parties! So it is not half bad. Have a fabulous short week everyone!
